Overview

  • Give’r is an outdoor apparel brand best known for their durable, customizable work and recreation gloves—gear made for people who live boldly in the outdoors. While their products were strong, their Shopify site had become outdated, cluttered with plugins, and unable to deliver the seamless experience modern customers expect.

My Role

  • UX/UI Audit of the old site

  • Competitor and industry benchmarking

  • Creative direction for new photography

  • Stakeholder workshops with the leadership team

  • User experience testing via UserTesting.com

  • Oversaw development and implementation of custom features

The Challenge

  • Give’r needed more than just a facelift—they needed a streamlined, mobile-first ecommerce platform that could showcase their products and unique customization options while performing better across conversions, speed, and ease of management for their internal team.

Stage 4. The Solution

  • UX/UI Refresh: Redesigned the site with a clean, modular design system that made it faster, easier to update, and visually aligned with industry leaders like Patagonia and REI.

  • Custom Glove Preview Tool: Built a custom modal feature allowing customers to preview personalized gloves with initials or symbols. Sourced a handwriting-style font to replicate the authentic look of in-house customization.

  • Photography Direction: Guided new product and lifestyle photography to better reflect the brand’s rugged, adventurous identity.

  • Testing & Validation: Conducted user testing to refine flows and ensure intuitive shopping experiences.

Stage 5. The Results

  • +29% Purchase Conversion Increase (Q3 2023 vs. Q3 2022)

  • +4.13% Increase in Organic Traffic (Q3 2023 vs. Q3 2022)

  • +17.31% Increase in ROAS (Q3 2023 vs. Q3 2022)

  • Mobile-first design that performed significantly better across devices

  • A scalable, modular system that empowered Give’r’s team to easily manage and evolve the site
